Hungry For Lunch? Check Out These 3 Delicious Spots Around Joshua Tree National Park

See this content in the original post

When you are staying at the WKNDR Joshua Tree getaways (BOOK HERE) you will always be near some of the best restaurants 29Palms and Joshua Tree has to offer. For those who are looking for the top lunch spots here are our top 3 recommendations.

1. Crossroads Cafe

This was one of our first restaurant experiences in Joshua Tree and we fell in love it because of the great food, big portions and awesome atmosphere. At Crossroads Cafe they have something for everyone as it has a very expansive menu with items ranging from tacos to polenta and eggs. And did we mention Crossroads Cafe serves breakfast every day until 1:30. Crossroads Cafe is the perfect place to fuel up before heading into Joshua Tree National Park or conversely the perfect place to stop after an early morning scrambling. For those who are unsure of what to order, we highly recommend the chicken quesadillas, which can feed two, as well as the Mama Cruz Huevos Rancheros.

2. GRND SQRL

Newer to 29Palms as it opened in 2021 is GRND SQRL and we cannot say enough good things about it, especially if you are a craft beer lover like us. According to GRND SQRL, it has “the best beer list for 100 miles, and pride ourselves in having eclectic and diverse styles to ensure we have a beer for everyone. with rotating draft and canned options from our favorite breweries in southern California and beyond, our beer is as critical to having a rad time.” This gastropub not only has a pristine selection of beer but also a solid menu that has options ranging from the SQRL Burger to the Jalla masterfully made by its executive chef, Joel Pettersson, who is classically trained at the University of Copenhagen. GRND SQRL also features trivia, open mic and live music throughout the week, so if you are looking for a late-night activity make sure to check out their calendar.

With a focus on organic and wholesome, The Yucca Tree Eatery menu is filled with options that will help power you for the rest of your day in the high desert. The menu has a good selection with menu items ranging from the heavier to lighter fare. For those looking for a more substantive meal, make sure to try the Grilled Artichoke Chicken Sandwich and for those looking for something on the lighter side the Conscious Salad or Sabrina Smoothie are delightful.
