Best Stargazing Airbnb At Joshua Tree National Park

Soak up starry skies at the WKNDR܍Starside Airbnb, the best Joshua Tree stargazing Airbnb. It’s the closest Airbnb to the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and to Sky’s The Limit Observatory. Just take a seat around the fire ring, open a night sky app, and see the planets with your own eyes. The grounds of the Airbnb are dark to create the best Joshua Tree stargazing and astrophotography environment. There are headlamps and lanterns provided to get you from point A to point B in the dark. Click Here To Book On Airbnb

If the WKNDR Airbnb isn’t available for your stay, choose an Airbnb away from city lights. Stay away from the cities of Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, and HWY 62 in 29 Palms. These areas are dense with more city lights. The east side of the park in general is better than the westside. The very best stargazing (other than at the WKNDR Getaways) would be found in Wonder Valley or Pioneertown, where you’re far away from it all (including cell service).

Sky's The Limit Observatory and Nature Center

If you are craving a richer astronomical experience, and amazing nighttime photos, make sure to visit the Sky's The Limit Observatory and Nature Center, which is in the WKNDR Airbnb’s backyard. At the Observatory, which is just beyond the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, you have the opportunity to view solar telescopes and take in the darkest skies outside the park. At these events, you will watch a projection of the telescope and benefit from the knowledge of local docents. The Observatory also features nature and wilderness trails, a meditation garden, sculptures, giving you plenty to do during the day in addition to gazing at the night sky.
