And for those staying at WKNDR x Parkside or Starside you can quickly get to the Cholla Cactus Garden as it is closest to the Park’s North Entrance which both getaways are less then 1 mile from. Also dog lovers take note as dogs are not permitted on this effortless .2 mile flat loop trail.

Trailhead: Cholla Cactus Garden

Where to Park: The best way to access this loop is at the trailhead where there is ample lot parking.

When to Go: All year round, but strongly March through April to see the cacti in bloom and also early in the morning to beat the crowds and for the best photos.

Footwear: Hiking sandals.
