Where To Eat Breakfast, Lunch, And Dinner In 29Palms

While you’re living like a local at the WKNDR Getaways at Joshua Tree National Park why not eat like one too? Here are 3 local favorites to get your grub on from dawn till dusk in 29Palms.

Breakfast - Campbell Hill Bakery

Campbell Hill Bakery: A more recent addition to the 29Palms downtown, this bakery serves up the most delicious homemade breads, pastries, and savory breakfasts making it our top spot for the most important meal of the day.

Our love for Campbell Hill Bakery goes beyond its baked goods, we also adore the backstory of their name. Before they became 29Palms locals, the owners of Campbell Hill Bakery (Travis and Nancy) would visit Campbell Hill (named after the 1920s homesteaders Bill and Elizabeth Campbell) to watch both the amazing sunrises and sunsets. The bakery serves as an homage to their passion for food and 29Palms. Make sure to pick up extra breakfast and sourdough provisions on Saturday because they are closed Sundays and Mondays.

Our Favorite: Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. You can also pick up one of the tasty to-go sandwiches for a park picnic.

WKNDR Tip: Get there early. The line starts to snake by 9 am on Saturdays.

The Rib Co: Don’t drive too fast down 29Palms Highway or you might miss this longtime favorite. For more than 20 years, The Rib Co has been saucing and serving up the best barbeque in the area, including ribs, brisket, chicken, steak, and burgers. And if you are not a carnivore or just looking for something on the lighter side, don’t worry, the expansive menu also includes salads and seafood. Did we mention the corn muffins and honey butter?
