Parking: Use the driveway.
Air Conditioning & Heating Units
Please turn all air units to 68 degrees when it's time to check out.
Trash
Please bag and take all trash to the outside cans upon departure. Outdoor trash can lids must also be completely secured. Coyotes are crafty and failure to do so could result in litter scattered about the desert and a fine. Please help protect our animals and land.
Water
Our house is on septic, please don’t flush anything down the toilet except for toilet paper.
Doors
Please remember to shut the doors behind you to prevent the critters from ruining your stay.
Food & Dirty Dishes
Food left out unwrapped other than produce and dirty dishes will lead to ants.
Fire Safety
Please only use wood in the fire pit and fireplace and dispose of any remaining hot ashes in the ash can. The wind can take the embers into the desert presenting a fire hazard for the surrounding area. There is a fire extinguisher mounted in the kitchen.
Wind
The desert is windy! Please don't leave anything outside that you don't want to blow away. Also, please forgive anything that might seem out of place outside when you arrive.
Exploring Around The House
Enjoy the area around the house and be a good neighbor. If you’re looking for a walkable desert adventure, the backcountry of the park is due west and due south. Walk down the roads and you will see the boundary markers once you reach the park. Once you cross the boundary, you’re in the national park and are free to roam as you please. Just be careful of critters and cacti and leave no trace! Also please be a good neighbor and do not trespass on the neighbor’s property to reach the park. Reach out for more information.
General Words of Caution
The desert is untamed and unpredictable. Watch where you step and don’t touch cacti.
